From what you said you understand that if you curse someone it will cause yourself to be hurt again, even more!So why do you want to do that? Why not truly forgive whoever hurt you? Long back I did something similar with the help of my guru deviji. It worked also but I always felt guilty. My advise is don't do it. Forget and forgive. |
| "Placing A Curse"
I feel that it is very possible to put a curse on someone. There are regions in Africa that are virtually crime-free because people fear curses. They know the power of a curse and, although they do not have police, this keeps the people in line. Conversely, neighboring tribes are often rife with theft. When they seek out those known to place curses then it stops it. Curses have even been shown to manifest upon people without their knowing it has been placed - so we know it is more than just placebo effect.I kindly disagree with people who think placing a curse will "bring something back" to you. People have been doing curses all throughout human history. If done for the right reason they are actually a form of justice. If you are cursing people maliciously then it can be a problem. I cast curses for many of my clients and never have any issues or have them returning to say that something bad happened to them. I think it is a very powerful option and a real one, but one that must be weighed carefully and used in a moral fashion. |

Your post is very informative and interesting Dongo. I think it is a fascinating concept that society could be improved by using curses in the right way. I wish there were individuals like you here in the U.S.Do curses work from afar? How would you go about putting a curse on someone from another country? |
| "Better life"
Why not focus on making our lives a little bit better... not trying to harm others? We might be surprised how much good it would do for others when our focus is on our betterment, not at the advantage of someone else!Expert Page: The Fabric of Life |
#1311/23/11 11:46Scranton, PA | "Cursing others for the right reasons"
Bryan, I suppose I either said it wrong or you didn't really read Dongo's post. He is talking about using curses for the right or moral reasons. Using curses as a form of moral justice to me seems fitting when you have people doing the types of things they do in society.I am not talking about cursing people because they told me my hair looked stupid. There are lots of reasons that if someone thought there was an actual consequence for some bad thing they did, maybe they would think twice. It USED TO BE, that people feared God and that kept them on the straight and narrow. Now that He has been taken mostly from our entire society, what consequence so people fear? Nothing, which is my point. |
| "Minding your own business..."
But that is still an eye for an eye... revenge... an ever escalating cycle of doing something to someone else because of something they did to you.You can say it is because they did something "bad" or "wrong". But that is your perspective and not yours. It is your assumption of their intention. From their perspective it could be something completely different. An unintentional side effect of something good they were trying to do. There is a photo floating around on facebook. The photo is of some people lounging on a park bench and the World Trade Center on fire in the background. The caption is some insult of these people for appearing so relaxed and unconcerned. Anyone who posts that on facebook in such a way that it appears on my wall is immediately unfriended. Why? Because the people pushing that photo as something terrible are doing so because they are making various assumptions about the thoughts of those people at the time of the photo. And, not only that, doing it with the knowledge of that event which we have now. Not from the perspective of what knowledge those people had at the moment the photo was taken. It is unfair to put thoughts into other people's minds for them. We can never hope to understand the intents, purposes and reasons behind any action (or inaction) of another person. We simply haven't lived their lives or had their experiences to have any clue. Yet we are ready to do them harm (an eye for an eye) based on our assumption of what we think their intent was. That further leads to the idea that everyone around us is a mirror for ourselves, and therefore if we believe Mr. X did something out of evil intent, it is because we would do the same for that reason. You are still missing my point Bryan. I am not talking about cursing ANYONE for something they supposedly or in actuality did anything to me. There are horrible people out there who commit unspeakable atrocities against people, look at Penn State for example. You think it is excusable for that coach to have preyed upon young boys and for the University to NOT call the police because it would tarnish the reputation of the school??? What about those poor boys? I am referring to the CONCEPT of people thinking there will be a consequence if they do something that is morally wrong. Not playing tit for tat. Come on |
| "Not your fight"
First, I agree, that from what we know, some people did really bad things. But, not having been personally involved at any level, we have no first hand information. Also, we don't know the FULL story (which in this case is probably much worse than what we do know). Now, regardless of how bad the situation and the people are, it is not your fight nor mine. Even to look at it from an eye for an eye perspective. They didn't poke your eye, so how can you even think about poking theirs? Additionally, it appears that the authorities who our culture has empowered with doing justice is taking appropriate action. Expert Page: The Fabric of Life |
#1701/16/12 05:58the afterlife | "how to curse someone"
That monkey face is right. You really have no idea of what the big picture is.What ever happened to the concept of not judging others? Certainly someone else could be judgmental about our own lives and find reasons to "curse" us. When monkey face said "look in the mirror" he missed the point. When you are cursing someone, you are looking in the mirror and the curse is reflecting back right at you. You are not cursing the other person in any meaningful way, but you are cursing yourself? Can you say the same about blessings? Next time you have the desire to curse someone, or are inspired to search for information on "how to curse someone", instead search for information on "how to bless someone". Then start blessing this evil person. Keep doing it until your view of the situation has changed. Then sit back and meditation and ponder whether your blessing the "evil" person affect them or you more. |

| "Karma"
So you would like to resolve this problem now in a way that incurs lots of karma so you can return here in 3 years and tell us about a new problem that is 100 times worse?Try blessing your uncle and his new wife. Seriously. Good blessings. Every day, Every Hour. Keep it up and one day you'll wake up with a new attitude. You see the problem isn't the uncle or his new wife, but it is you. What you see happened with them is just a reflection of your own internal state. Expert Page: The Fabric of Life |

#2201/27/12 20:24Planet Half-Life | "curse the entire planet then."
I understand you thoughts on this matter bryan but what would the world come to if you where to curse EVERYone that comitted a sin without cursing an individule that may not have even done the sin at all? so in other words placeing a curse on all who have or will sin in the past preasent or future. |
| "Sins..."
"Everyone who has committed a sin" From who's perspective? Who can be the judge of that? When you look at a situation you see it through the perspective of your personality, which was built upon your experiences in life. Additionally, the situation is further filtered by what information you see. The "big picture" or another person's perspective may be much different. Two different people may have two different views of the same person. One may exclaim: "he is a sinner", and another may exclaim, "he is a hero". And, from their own perspective may both be right. Though the "big picture" may instead show that he is just a regular person. Not especially good, nor bad. Why are you so worried about everyone else? What about worrying about making yourself a better person? Expert Page: The Fabric of Life |
#2401/28/12 19:33Planet Half-Life | "Is she good or evil?"
my mother works at a mental health clinic. she saves lives and helps people who have personal problems everyday. and yet she comes home everyday, after work and yells at me about the house being derty, the chores not being done, my failing grades and not practicing my violen enough. that may seem normal things to argue about but what do you do when all that stuff is already done and taken care of and yet she still yells at you? she still treats you like dert on the floor? she treats the ones who are depressed and she depresses her own son by mental abuse everyday without fail. if my mother realizes what she does to me then i will happily forgive her. so is she a hero? or is she a sinner. possibly both. but what i talk about is curse all who need cursed that have sinned in gods perspective. i try to make myself a better person at all times by listining and looking at other peoples perspective of any and all situations, that is why i ask you these questions. |
