Who is enlightened?There have always existed a category of human beings classified as "enlightened", with many different ideas and definitions as to what that is.Gautama was enlightened and he stated that was "awake". Now we get another factor, to be awake. How many people are awake today? is there a statistic? Is there any way of knowing? Or, is the meaning behind these terms that we are all enlightened, or, capable of being enlightened. Tantric Buddhism states that everything is enlightened, and all actions are enlightened actions. Since it exists in the present it must be perfect in the karmic sense. So there are many levels of understanding. And we are back to square one. Namaste! |
