If your friend is truly searching i would recommend a visit to Youtube and search for Eckhart Tolle, also his book "A new Earth" will show her what she is looking for. |

re: My friend said she has a great desire to reach spiritual enlightenmen.... I will assume that she means HAPPINESS. I assume we all want to be happy and stay happy (enlightened). But why wait? Why go about reaching for something way off in the future somewhere? Why not be happy NOW? Why not just choose to be happy and choose again when and if it leaves you? I want it now and so I get it now - not later or some day if I get lucky or meditate enough, etc. |
| We may sometimes get lost and we don't know which way is better to achieve happiness. We feel incomplete and restless finding ourselves. In this kind of situation, you exactly need spiritual enlightenment. I presume your friend is a teen, so she can enjoy joining youth spiritual group. As you know, at times mingling with other people will help alleviate stress in handling confusion in life. Be happy and make life to the fullest. |
| Everyone has the right to desire and reach spiritual enlightenment. There are actually ways of achieving or reaching it. Of course, it depends on how you perceive happiness. It can be through sharing what you have, loving your neighbors, forgiving those who have wronged you and many others. But the best way for me is to join in some spiritual organizations so that they will be able to help you on this process. |
| Your friend probably feels that her life has no direction and she is not happy with it. Faith guides us and inspires us to live because it tells us that there is a God who will always look after us because He loves us unconditionally. Perhaps, she yearns for spiritual enlightenment because that would open her mind to the right faith and that will lead her towards the right path to true happiness. |
