| Article: Give Thanks If someone does something good for you, like giving you a gift, good nature demands that you say, “Thanks”. The gift-giver might be upset if the recipient just takes it without even saying a word of thanks. Moreover, if the receiver of that gift carelessly discards it, he could be cited for ingratitude. In today’s fast-paced world, so many people seem not to have time for thankfulness- it is rather filled with chronic grumblers and complainers. They gripe about countless things in life- weather, traffic, food, and problems at work, family difficulties, and many others. | It would be easy for one to just say that, to be thankful all the time with all the blessings you have in life. But what if you are in the stage of great challenge and tests? There are lots of reasons for people to be depressed. And during those days of hard times, it would be hard to just count blessings. Especially if you have so much weight of problems in you. |
| I agree that giving thanks is important, very very important, and somewhat lost now days. However, also discarding something which is useless once received is not only wise, but caring as well, as you are not going to cause the giver to think those sorts of items are useful and make them continue to spend money on things which do you no good. You can always find someone to whom the item is useful. |
