Questions: I have suicidal thoughts, but I'm not depressed?

Um. I don't really know how to explain this effectively. Basically, I was kind of just sitting around thinking about things. I'm an Atheist. I do not believe in an "afterlife." It's hard to explain, but I've come to the conclusion that reincarnation is a viable option for what happens after death. I'm caught in a tug of war 50/50 between believing that when you die there's absolutely nothing, and believing that when you die your "spiritual" inhabits a different body. Now here's where the crazy comes in. I'm not really depressed. I'm a little bit sad about some aspects of my life, but not really depressed. Yet, I find myself looking up numerous forms of suicide based on effectiveness because I have this incredible urge to find out what death will bring. That sounds so stupid while I'm typing it, but I really can't explain... I have this really strong urge to kill myself just so I can see what conditions would be like in a different life. And, on the flip side, I'm not too concerned about dying and finding out that there's absolutely nothing for death to bring. I'm not scared of losing everything I have, and I don't really know any people that would get too upset about me dying. I'm just kind of confused about this considering the fact that my suicidal thoughts stem from a mixture of slight sadness and curiosity. Is it normal for people to actually be suicidal, as in ACTUALLY suicidal, over curiosity of the afterlife? THAT WAS THUPER DUPER HELPFUL
