| Poetry about anticipationAnticipation seems to be almost the corner stone of poetry... Anticipation of, and mingling with, hope, the great dream of humanity. We live a life of hope, spiritual, material, and social hope, and our minds lead us to "anticipate" that hope, living the real outcome of the hope which meny times eludes us and therefore it becomes food for poetry. Achieved hope becomes an anthem, a hymn, another type of poetic expression. Anticipation carries with it a dose of passion and a physical reaction of expectation. We anticipate happenings in our lives: relationships, births, deaths, achievements in our careers, etc. Many poets have entered this emotional garden and have transmitted our physical reactions. Cervantes is full of anticipation at the battles to be won against "giants and monsters", if we look at Shakespeare, we will come up against a wall of expectations. Emily Jane Bronte, Allison Chambers Amy lowell, just to mention a few, head the list of thousands. In anticipation of love we humans achieve a foretaste of things to come that allows us to dissolve the domination of reason that entraps us to a rational world and kills poetry. Cheers! |
