A day after meeting you

blessed by your grace

24 hours of thinking of you

still remembering such a pleasant face

Impatience overcoming

anticipation of when again we meet

a personality as warm as it is loving

do I truly deserve such a treat?

A desire to know more about you

restrained by faith in tomorrow

knowing you causes happiness

not being with you causes sorrow

Intrigued by your words

astonished by youth

anticipating that every word you speak

is embedded in the truth

On the phone few words are told

are you not interested or just shy?

have I caught your attention

the way you have caught my eye?

I can't express my anticipation

nor can I write it in a simple rhyme

so many places I want to take you

instead I take my time

Don't rush anything

don't do everything today

allow her to feel anticipation

for tomorrow is another day

Poetry cannot be learnt in any way. What one does is polish on an already abundant gift. This is a lover's poem and it just took me to them old days in school when you had to analyze a poem in terms of figures of speech and so on.

I love this one in particular because it has simple flow. Going by the date, I like to assume you have an anthology of some sort. Have you stored your poems or published them before?

Poetry part 2....is it coming back soon? Interesting piece of art poetry is. I love the flow and the fact that the subject speaks to his audience in both the first and third person. Poetry has a way of putting what might otherwise be regarded to as plain prose to what sounds pleasant to the ear. All in all, it takes discipline and enough aptitude to be a poet

I think i am the first one to claim that the poet is a little common and a little too out of my preference. I love poetry but those that are extremely having deeper meaning and deeper contents. A type of poem that is tragic, sad and can put some tear in my eye. A touching expressive one.

But i think i have to wait like the other guys for the part II.

It is an alright poem for me. Not to antagonize you or something Peop but since you refer to his poem as common or out of your taste, can we see some of your self-made poems or the ones you have been reading? Who are your favorite poets and their finest masterpieces. Again, I am not antagonizing but merely highlighting the authors and type of poetry you are engage with.

I love that one, I love to read poem and is very much into different forms of literature. It is so romantic to hear someone reciting such wonderful poems. My boyfriend used to recite poems for me and I really loved it, he even make a composition for me. I would love to hear him recite again. Thanks a lot guys and I hope to hear from all of you soon.
