| Questions: Should I stop listening to music? Sounds like a strange question I guess but hear me out. I looked at some questions related to this and most of them were from really religious people who had that motivation against it. That's not it for me at all, I have no religious or spiritual motivations here. I just worry that its distracting me. In some ways, in the positive ways, I think that it helped me feel like I had a voice, gave me some confidence, and made me a more open minded person. I learn a lot from a different perspective now, more from the arts than from straight academics. In a way, I feel like that is the problem, I'm not as interested in academics as I once was and feel like I should be. And I used to be more grounded before I really got into music, realistic in terms of long term goals, but I've become someone who's less decisive, dreamy, I think still responsible, but aiming for things that are probably impossible. |
