Article: Mind Power and Metaphysical Healing Western medicine is largely reactive in nature, i.e. it acts only when there are symptoms of a disease, work on how to curb and defeat the physical origin of that disease in order to stave off any of the symptoms for good. It works a great deal and it makes the healing process easier and more convincing to understand. The problem with the Western model, however, is that it ignores the connection between our thoughts and our physical state. Thus, there's no room for what we call metaphysical healing.
