Article: Key Differences between Meditation and Yoga

Thank author of this post/commentA lot of people aren’t really clear on the differences between meditation and yoga. We often hear people say “I’m meditating” or “I’m doing yoga.” Sometimes they are intending to suggest the same thing while other times they may be talking about drastically different things.

Both yoga and meditation have their own similarities as well as differences. Yoga is more of execution while meditation is more of silence which you can reflect for yourself.

I have tried both and I was really pleased to the positive results brought by meditation as well as Yoga.

The key differences of yoga and meditation may remain in mind, but both are important for human body and health.

I think the differences between meditation and yoga are also in physicality, as meditation is strictly for the mind, and yoga is meant to be for the mind and body. Yoga can be practiced without meditation and meditation can be practiced without yoga. Meditation can be done without anyone else knowing it, but when yoga is done everyone around you is very aware that you are doing something as they see it.
