| The Highest Goal After years of searching, trying, suffering, achieving, failing, and generally wallowing in unhappiness with brief periods of happiness that never lasts, I have come to see that MAYBE the highest goal is plain old simple HAPPINESS which could be called: enlightenment, freedom, security, knowledge, the Self, The ALL, nirvana, serenity, peace, silence, That, It, This, wisdom, ego-less, emptiness, totality and a lot of other fancy labels. To me it all boils down to 'happiness' that can not be undone and if undone, can be quickly reinstated.Despite looking into and learning many elaborate systems for obtaining permanent happiness (yoga, meditation, prayer, inquiry, surrender, etc.) I never could get or keep the happiness (Awareness, Consciousness, Realization, Knowledge) that came my way in little fragmented pieces. Now I feel that I have finally found the simple, direct way to be happy at will and never loose it again. No waiting, hoping, wishing, depending on god-guru-luck-hard work or things and beings outside of me to bring me happiness. This is reliable, repeatable and doable by anyone. Try it! |
