Is it important to analyze the spiritual and emotional baggage you dredge up or is it more important to just bring it up and release it? Do you have any good techniques for releasing it?

Some people find difficult to let go their emotional baggage. One good technique is to write down all their emotional baggages (make a list! while at the same time be sincere to let these be gone) on papers, then put them inside a closed-lid box; dig a hole on the ground and bury it.

Its very tough and difficult to bury your own emotional baggage...but it is a good technique..

Analyzing any emotional baggage would be a good idea to find out what is causing it and how it can be dealt with. Letting it out is good too, because then you can control it instead of letting it control you. Everyone will let theirs out in different ways, but a fairly standard method is to just talk with a friend who won't say anything until you finish for sure.

Interesting! Enybody ever heard of zen meditation? It is called zazen and is practiced in places like to one in the link, a zen monastery in New York State. Zazen is reputed to just that, a "dredging" of our emotional past. There is nothing "magic" or "metaphysical" about it. Zen practice is of this world. The problem is that we donīt know our minds and we have to sit in zazen to learn who we really are. This means, of course, that DONīT KNOW WHO OR WHAT WE ARE... And have to find out. In the process we dredge, we bring up stuff that lies dormant within us and deal with it. It is a long and at times difficult process, we contantly want to turn to more interesting occupations like watching a movie or reading a magazine. So there should not be any suggestion that itīs an easy process. But quite effective and we come out the other side of the tunnel like new. A different person because the old "me", like a scare crow, fell behind and stayed there. Cheers!
