Wedding - Dream Interpretation
| WeddingHi All....Im a single 25yr old female, wanting to settle down and get married.. Last night i had a dream that i was attending my cousins wedding, in a "wedding dress"?.The dress was white with a veil but part of the bottom of the dress was black, something changed my mind and i did not end up going to the wedding. I then decided to put on casual clothing and attend the reception.. This was scary.I have amny things running thru my mind but i'd like to have this dream interpreted. Please help! Thanks |

| hi how are you well today i dream that i was wearing a wedding veil im 18 by the way and i do have a boyfriend were not engage or anything but as i put on the veil i try one way to see if it looks nice and i try another way it look pretty but as i try to fix it it got loos a little and i was trying to fix it it got fix but then it got a little lose again what does it mean please help i try looking this up and they all say different things some neg some postive but help |
| Hi Ruby, I think the veil do not fits on you perfectly, meaning it was not meant for you.. I think you and your partner will not make it to a serious relationship, well your only eighteen, you will be having lots of opportunities, do not focus on the wedding stuffs yet.. Maybe you are thinking of the relationship so much to work out to the next level but then that dream I think is a sign that you and your current boy friend is not meant for each other. |
| I have to concur that not every dream deserves an intrepretation. If there has to be, then it would be simply an attempt to tell you whatever is going on through your mind. You might be preoccupied with the thought of settling down in the shortest time possible but the thought of a past makes you cringe at something you are guilty of. Let go of some stuff preoccupying your mind but attend as many weddings as you can. You have heard of fairy tales, right? |
| I have to agree with moy. Dream does not have any meaning, that is with my view. I think dreams are just the product of your daily or the whole day activity and thoughts. Your dreams are just showing you what you are thinking most of the time, your so pre occupied by the thought that is why even in dreams you can see it. This is just my view. |

| Normally when one has on a white wedding dress, it is to signify purity, when one is wearing any other color, it would signify that the person may not be of the purest. Still, in a dream, an interpretation can go in many directions. Interpretation is not always necessary. |

I have an idea about the meaning of this dream. If I am correct, this dream has a positive meaning. In this dream, it is apparently the dreamer’s wedding. This is why she was wearing a wedding dress. But she had a very special dress – white on top and black on the bottom. I have seen other dreams where the bride wears a black wedding dress. I call these Persephone dreams. Many of the dreams that I look at have a mythological theme. So, it is with this dream. The theme of this dream is the story of Persephone. Just to refresh everyone’s memory – %%%% Persephone is the goddess of the underworld in Greek mythology. She is the daughter of Zeus and Demeter, goddess of the harvest. Persephone was such a beautiful young woman that everyone loved her, even Hades wanted her for himself. One day, when she was collecting flowers on the plain of Enna, the earth suddenly opened and Hades rose up from the gap and abducted her. None but Zeus, and the all-seeing sun, Helios, had noticed it. Broken-hearted, Demeter wandered the earth, looking for her daughter until Helios revealed what had happened. Demeter was so angry that she withdrew herself in loneliness, and the earth ceased to be fertile. Knowing this could not continue much longer, Zeus sent Hermes down to Hades to make him release Persephone. Hades grudgingly agreed, but before she went back he gave Persephone a pomegranate (or the seeds of a pomegranate, according to some sources). When she later ate of it, it bound her to underworld forever and she had to stay there one-third of the year. The other months she stayed with her mother. When Persephone was in Hades, Demeter refused to let anything grow and winter began. This myth is a symbol of the budding and dying of nature. In the Eleusinian mysteries, this happening was celebrated in honor of Demeter and Persephone, who was known in this cult as Kore. [See Link.] &&&&& In this dream, the dreamer is like Persephone. The black color is very appropriate for the “goddess of the underworld.” But, what about the top half being white? It either means that you have limited access to the underworld or that you are able to travel both in the lower and the upper realms. OK, OK – Don’t get yourself all in a huff. Like I wrote, I believe that “this dream has a positive meaning.” The positive meaning is that you have developed enough so that you can make these travels into other spiritual realms. Good Job! | There is very much a positive insight here. We should always look at things from a positive perspective. Maybe the dress had been decked with black due to the possibility that this person may need to shape their life to suit, and get themselves back on a track towards happiness and sincerity. |
| Yeah, I have to agree on that. Not all dreams have meanings I must say. Maybe you just got pre occupied with something relating to wedding like wedding dress that is why you dreamed of that wedding dress. I do not have against all of those dream interpretations it is just that I do not think that there is such thing as dream interpretations. Have a good day ahead guys. |
