| Running from a King CobraA few nights I had a very vivid dream about a giant king cobra. I was traveling with a friend down a city street towards the subway when I heard people screaming. As I looked down the block I saw a giant king cobra with it's hood showing and mouth open in a menacing pose and kind of vibrating side to side. It was positioned at the top of the subway steps and people were running back into the subway. The cobra disappeared into some pipes that led down into the subway, and for some reason me and the person I was with ran down in after it. When we made it all the way down, we saw the cobra again far down the platform coming around a corner, but it didn't come after us, it just lay there and turned it's head towards us and stared. We turned around and ran back up the stairs towards the street level and we thought the cobra was chasing us. As we got to the top of the stairs we saw that it had become night and a cage had been pulled across the exit. I pulled out a gun and a flashlight and scanned down the stairwell for the cobra. I thought I saw it coming up and fired a shot, but it was actually a dog and I killed it. We called the police and waited for them to come, and then I woke up. |
